Healing Strands Holistic Services is a family run business founded in 2002 in Baldoyle which is located to the north of Dublin City Centre.
At Healing Strands, we aim to provide you a haven in which you can unwind and relax. We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service and believe that the customer is our greatest asset - as a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.
We believe that true health is more than just your physical state. It is also a state of mind. As our name implies, we treat each individual holistically. What does this mean? It means that we don’t just treat the symptoms; we try to establish the cause of the symptoms and treat accordingly. For this reason, when you come in for a treatment, we look at all aspects of your life, including your health (past and present), lifestyle, medications and your desired outcomes of the treatment. This allows us to tailor a treatment plan unique to your needs and wishes, thereby working towards your optimal level of health. After the treatment we endeavour to advise you what you can do between treatments to maintain a healthy body. This helps empower you to take responsibility for your own body and in turn enhances the treatments effectiveness.
We know that everyone is unique and accordingly our treatments are personalised to each individual. To do this, we offer a range of different therapies, including holistic massage, aromatherapy, manual lymphatic drainage massage, reflexology and mini spa treats - such as aroma hand spa, aroma foot spa and facials. These mini spa treatments can be added to a massage create your idea of the perfect treatment.
Meet the Therapists
Emily Kenny's journey into the world of holistic healing started from a love of essential oils. She decided that using essential oils for personal use wasn't enough so she went on to do some indepth study of how to use them on a professional level, and ended up doing a Diploma in Aromatherapy. She also holds certificates in Holistic Swedish Massage and Facials. She is now specialising in Manual Lymphatic Drainage as well as Aromatherapy.
Claire Kenny started as a holistic therapist in 2003 in Reflexology, Anatomy and physiology, Aromatherapy, Holistic massage and diet and nutrition, since qualifying she has run a very successful full time practice for the past 7 years. Since 2003 she has gone on to do many post graduate courses which include fertility and pregnancy reflexology, foot mobilization, Hopi ear candling, hot stone massage to name a few. Claire holds a city and guilds diploma in adult education. She began teaching reflexology in 2007.
How to get to Healing Strands
Our home based treatment room is located in Baldoyle Village and is easily accessible by public transport. We are a short walk from Sutton Dart Station which is on the Howth Dart line. The following Dublin Bus routes also service Baldoyle Village from the city centre to Portmarnock & Malahide - 32, 32A, 32B & 102 (see DublinBus.ie for more information). On street parking is available near our treatment room.
